Below is a copy of the tools available within the web builder. Click on each for the relevant help files:
Adding a web page.
You need to have just logged in or have clicked on the 'Edit pages' tab at the top of the administration page.
Select 'Add page' from the shaded box on the left of the screen, just above the list of pages on the site.
This will take you to a new, blank page, using the first available template in the system.
The page will be blank apart from the template showing around it.
At it's simplest level, just type, save and republish. Three are many facilities available for editing the web pages - click on the tabs and items above and you can find what you need to edit the pages, with explanations of each. If you really cannot find what you want, please do not hesitate to call and we will try to help you.
Changing page choices:
The system produces various initial settings for the page, which you should edit to place the page into your site in an orderly manor. Click here to view the page choices that you have (this will open in a new window). This includes the file name and more importantly, the page name, which appears in the menu.
When you first save a page, the page choices will pop up to ask you to choose your page name, menu and file name, as which section or subsection the page will be located in. We suggest you choose this at the time so that you keep the site structure logical and file names as you want them before you publish.
NB When adding the page, if you get nothing but the top tabs, the page is added but you have not defined any templates. First design a template and then apply that template to the page using page choices. You will then be able to edit the page.
