Advanced menu setup page.
On the advanced menu set up view you have the two sections from the simple view, but you can also set the style and features of the menu and how it works.

To get to the advanced menu set up, click the advanced button just below the top tabs in your admin panel

So is ticked thus :

At the bottom of the page, below the add section and menu list, you will now see further menu options.

Firstly you have menu set ups for menu 1 and 2. Menu 1 and 2 are placed where you put the marker within the template (click here).

Menu set up

This is the same for both menu 1 and 2. You need to select the type of menu you will use on the site:
The first option you get is to decide whether the menu runs vertically or horizontally
Next you decide whether the menu uses absolute or relative links (by default this is on - we advise you keep it so).

Menu types
There are five types of menu and you can have them vertical or horizontal. You can also have a second text menu if you wish, to aid search engines find their way through your site if you use a main JavaScript menu.

You will see the following settings panel:

1) The standard text menu is just that, it places a text based menu system with links to page

2) Menu with images uses images with roll overs, which you need to add. If no images are available it uses text, so you can have a mixture of image headings and text menus.

3) JavaScript menu with images needs image roll overs to be used for each menu addition to the web site (added in the page and menu lists next to each page or menu heading).

4) Text based JavaScript menu:

Set the font type, size, text colour and background colour.

You can also set the roll over colour of the text when a mouse is placed over the link and the background colour, so that the link 'rolls over' when a mouse is placed over it.

5) Menu with bullets
You choose the bullet point image which will be used next to each of the following:

Sections - all sections will have one type of bullet point
Subsections - all sub sections will have one type of bullet point
Pages - all pages will have one type of bullet point

Below the menu 2) set up, there are some further options, which are used for all menus.

1) Other delimiters
This sets how many spaces are used in text menus to indent the menu when you list subsections and sub pages.

2) Shopping link
Does the shopping link appear in the menu and if so, it is at the beginning or end of the menu.

You can also set the menu text used to link to the shopping section.
